  • Worries and stress, be gone.

As individuals, we all have needs and desires that we need to attain and accomplish. At times, it can be difficult to maintain a good mood in the face of adversity and struggle.

Forward thinking into the future has its benefits, however excessive worry about possible outcomes that may never happen can lead us to feelings of anxiety.

Dwelling on the past about things one cannot change can lead us into feelings of depression and regret. Not a happy place to be in.

It is true that one should look to the past to learn lessons, and look into the future to understand possibilities and consequences – however, too much of either can take us out of the present moment and have us feeling depressed and unmotivated, or worrying anxiously.

From seeking, personal experience, trial and error I have learned that being in the present moment is the best place to live. From the present moment we can view the past and future as reference points to base today’s actions on.

I also know that it’s pretty damn hard to be feeling bad about about last years upsets, or the bills due next month, when I am deflecting my training partners side-kicks and dodging the punches headed my way in training.

If you are looking for a way to get fit, get that winning feeling feel great in a positive atmosphere with others, send me a message and come try a class.

    – what’s the worst that could happen?

  • Don’t think. Just do.

Getting started can be the biggest hurdle. We put our mind on an outcome and begin to solve it in our mind – but when it comes to training, don’t think – just do. Everything else will begin to flow when you start to DO.

When you think, sure you’re ‘mentally’ active, but the body is not moving. This takes up energy. Enough of this and you can drain your energy without even moving a finger. It’s called ruminating.

Thinking should lead to action. Action should lead to a result. Between thinking and action is a decision. We end rumination with a decision. So don’t think about how to get motivated, just decide to stop ruminating now and start moving. The motivation will flow.

    See you at training.
